These three pocket cards feature the Forever Lovely stamp set and the coordinating Lovely Flower Edgelits dies from Stampin' Up!

Link to My Stampin' Up! Store

I began by stamping the insert for the cards.  This first one was stamped in Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks onto a piece of Whisper White CS 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" and mounted onto a piece of Crushed Curry CS 4-3/4' x 3-1/2".

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and was stamped with Crushed Curry ink.

Then I created the pocket for the insert by die cutting a piece of Whisper White CS with the Edgelit die from the coordinating Lovely Flower dies.  I trimmed the piece of WW CS to 4" wide  x 4-1/4" tall (to the top of the die cut).

I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set in Old Olive ink.  The stamped the 2 flowers from Forever Lovely in Crushed Curry ink (2nd generation stamping) across the sentiment as shown.  Then added the leaf sprigs and hearts in the same colors as shown using other dies from the set.

Lastly glued the card front onto a  5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White CS mat to form the pocket, mounted  it onto a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" base using a thin line of Tombow glue on the sides and bottom edges .  Let it dry completely before inserting the other inside mat to complete the pocket card.

This version of the card was stamped using Highland Heather and Old Olive inks and Highland Heather CS.

And this version of the card was stamped using Peekaboo Peach and Mossy Meadow inks and Peekaboo Peach CS.

These two A2 size cards feature the Falling Flower stamp set from Stampin' Up!

For this first card I used a piece of Whisper White CS for the top mat and created a background using what I call a "texture stamp" -  this one is from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set.

Then I stamped the  flowering branch from the Falling Flower stamp set in 2 places with Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Recollections Eggplant embossing powder and heat set it.  I cut a flower using one of the dies from the coordinating May Flower Framelits and embossed  it with the same Eggplant embossing powder.

The sentiment is from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and was also heat embossed and then banner cut.

I assembled the card by adding 2 pieces of White Organza ribbon, gluing on the flower and then the sentiment banner.  Lastly I mounted the top mat onto a bottom mat of Night of Navy cardstock.  And the finished piece was mounted on a White card base.

This second card was stamped similarly but the flower piece was cut with one of the Layering Ovals framelits, then mounted on a mat of Wisteria Wonder CS cut with one of the Rectangular Stitched Rectangle, layered on a bottom mat of Night of Navy CS that was  embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder.  The finished piece was mounted on a White card base.

The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set and was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White CS using Wisteria Wonder ink.  It was cut with a banner die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits die set.

These A2 size cards feature the Forever Lovely Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!.

I used the 2-step flower and leaf stamps from the stamp set which are easily aligned with the Stamparatus. Place the flower stamp on a scrap piece of CS, set slightly down from the top center of the Stamparatus base. Hold the CS in place with one of the magnets provided.  Stamp the image on the scrap piece to make sure you have it positioned as desired.  Lift up the plate and leave the stamp in place. Leave the CS in the same spot, line up the leaf stamp on top of the stamped image, and pick the stamp up with the other plate. Test stamp the leaves.  Once you have the 2 stamps aligned properly you can proceed with the stamping.   It may be helpful to mark the corners on the Stamparatus grid paper so that as you rotate the CS it is re-positioned correctly.

On this first card I started by stamping the flower on the left end of the top mat of Whisper White CS with Wisteria Wonder Ink. And then switched to the other plate and stamped the leaves in Soft Sky Ink.  I rotated the piece 180 degrees in the Stamparatus and repeated the process on the other end.  Then rotated the piece and repeated the process on the top and bottom edges. I mounted the top piece onto a bottom mat of Soft Sky CS.  The sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set was stamped on a scrap piece of Soft Sky CS, was die cut using the large label die from the Stitched Label Framelits, popped up with Dimensionals and placed in the center of the top mat.  I finished off by adding a few Rhinestones.

This second card uses Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz CS and inks.

And this third card uses Lovely Lipstick and Lemon Lime CS and inks.

Here are some cards I made in early February featuring the Meant to Be stamp set and coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits from Stampin' Up!.

I made this first card for my husband for Valentine's Day. The background DSP is from the All My Love series.  The heart dies and bottom layer were cut from Merry Merlot & Soft Seafoam cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Bloomin' Love stamp set using Merry Merlot ink.

This second Valentine Card uses the same All My Love DSP which was mounted on Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  The hearts were die cut from Lovely Lipstick and Soft Seafoam Cardstock.  The sentiment on this card is from the Meant to Be stamp set using LovelyLipstick ink.

I made this third card for my sister & brother in law for their wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day.  I used Pink Pirouette, Merry Merlot and Soft Seafoam for the hearts.  The top mat of Merry Merlot cardstock was embossed using the Lace Dynamic embossing folder.  The sentiment was stamped in Merry Merlot ink using a stamp from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

These last 2 cards use the same color combinations.  One was embossed with the Lace Dynamic embossing folder and the other with the Tufted Dynamic embossing folder.

This A2 size card features the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

This is a quick and easy card to make.  I used Basic Black Cardstock for my standard size top mat.  Rubbed my Embossing Buddy across the mat and stamped the images from Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set in Versamark Ink.  I sprinkled the White Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and used my Heat Tool to heat set the powder.

I mounted the finished top mat onto my standard size bottom mat cut from Pineapple Punch Cardstock using Tape Runner.

And then mounted both onto a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

Quick and Easy , as I said.  And of course any colors cardstock or embossing powder can easily be substituted.

This A2 size card features the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 5 - Watercolor Background
This is part 5 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For this card I used Shimmery White Paper for the top mat, but I use a piece that is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and trim to my standard size of 5" x 3-3/4" once the piece is dry.  I began by applying a light layer of water to the top of the piece with my Aqua Painter.  Then I used Tranquil Tide and Wisteria Wonder Inks for the color.  I squeeze the ink pads to get color into the lid of the ink case, then use the Aqua Painter to add some water and just swipe the color across the mat. For this card I swiped diagonally from the center moving toward the corner, which results in darker shades in the center, light shades in the corners.  Let the piece dry thoroughly before stamping.

The dandelions and sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes  Stamp Set were both stamped using Blackberry Bliss Ink.

I also stamped one of the tiny butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch.  I glued the butterfly onto the top mat with Tombow Glue.  For butterflies I always gently fold the butterfly along both sides of the body and only apply the glue to that section, so the wings are not glued flat to the mat.

I mounted the top mat to a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock cut to my standard bottom mat size of 5-1/4" x 4" using Tape Runner.  And then both pieces were mounted onto a White Card Base with Tape Runner.

I love the way that the shimmer of the paper still shows thru the watercolor ink wash.

These A2 size cards feature the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 4 - Block Inked Backgrounds - Part 2
This is part 4 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For the background on these 2 cards, I applied Berry Burst, Grapefruit Grove and Dapper Denim Inks  directly onto a D Size Clear Block.  I used small cubes of ink that I had from past Paper Pumpkin Kits, but you can also use full size ink pads.

I used a Spritzer to spray water onto the Clear Block, until I thought the inks had run together enough to create a nice pattern.  Then I set a piece of Watercolor Paper onto a plastic mat and then set the inked block onto the paper.  Let it sit for a few seconds so the color will absorb into the paper, and then remove the block.  You can also spritz some additional water onto the watercolor paper if you want to blend the colors a little more. As you can see from these 2 samples each background is unique.  Let the paper dry thoroughly.

The dandelions of both all of these 3 cards were stamped with Memento Ink.

The sentiment on this first card is from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped in Berry Burst Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with a die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits.

For the bottom mat I used one standard size piece of Dapper Denim Cardstock.  Then I took a strip of 1-3/4" x 5" Berry Burst Cardstock and glued it on top as shown.  I ran the glued piece thru the Big Shot using the Swirls  & Curls Embossing Folder.  I really like this layered bottom mat.

I trimmed the dandelion piece as desired, mounted it onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, leaving a very thin border. Then glued it toward the top center of the bottom mat.  The sentiment was glued toward the bottom center of the mat.

This 2nd inked piece was  was die cut with one of the Stitched Shape Framelits.

The sentiment is from Healing Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Grapefruit Grove ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  It was cut using a die from the Merry Christmas Thinlits.

For the bottom mat I took a standard size piece of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock and glued a 1-1/2" wide banner cut from Berry Burst Cardstock onto it, and then a 1-1/2" wide strip of Dapper Denim Cardstock on top.  This glued piece was embossed with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder.

The mat and sentiment were both popped up with Dimensionals as shown.

For the background on this 3rd card, I applied Berry Burst and Pool Party Ink  directly onto a D Size Clear Block. And followed the same process as above.

The dandelions were stamped with Memento Ink.

I trimmed this  piece to desired size, leaving a white edge this time, and mounted it onto a slightly larger piece of Berry Burst Cardstock.

This sentiment is from the Humming Along Stamp Set and was stamped in Berry Burst Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  It was cut with a die from the Rose Garden Thinlits.

I used a standard size piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock for bottom mat, and embossed it with the Seaside Embossing Folder.

I glued a piece of Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon toward the bottom of the mat.  Then popped up the block piece and the sentiment using Dimensionals.

The Block inked pieces on these 3 cards were sprayed with Shimmer Spray before being attached to the bottom mats.

These A2 size cards feature the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 4 - Block Inked Backgrounds - Part 1
This is part 4 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For the background on these first 2 cards applied Berry Burst and Pool Party Ink  directly onto a F Size Clear Block.  I used small cubes of ink that I had from past Paper Pumpkin Kits, but you can also use full size ink pads.

Then I used a Spritzer to spray water onto the Clear Block, until I thought the inks had run together enough to crate a nice pattern.  As you can see from these 2 samples each background is unique.

I laid a piece of Watercolor Paper onto a plastic mat and then laid the inked block onto the paper.  Let it set for a few seconds so the color will absorb into the paper, and then remove the block.  You can also spritz some additional water onto the watercolor paper if you want to blend the colors a little more.  Let the paper dry thoroughly.

The dandelions and the sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set were stamped in Memento Ink.

Then I trimmed the pieces to 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" and glued one to a standard size bottom mat of Pool Party Cardstock and the other to Berry Burst Cardstock using Tombow Glue.

I decided to use colored cardstock for the card bases so I used the opposite colors for each of the two cards.

For a finishing touch, I sprayed Shimmer Spray across the card fronts.  I often do this to cards made with Watercolor Paper.  I think it brightens up the colors.

For this card I used the same process as above but used Island Indigo and Pool Party Inks on the block. These 2 colors worked really well together to make a nice soft background.

I mounted the top mat onto Island Indigo Cardstock and a White Card Base.

And finished with the Shimmer Spray as above.

These A2 size cards feature the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 3 - Stamped Backgrounds

This is part 3 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For the background on this card I used the texture stamps from the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock standard top mat size, using Highland Heather Ink..  I CASEd this card from one I saw on Pinterest by Debbie Dutchess, though she used a different stamp for the background.

The dandelions and sentiment from Dandelion Wishes were heat embossed using the Embossing Buddy, Versamark Ink, Black Embossing Powder & a Heat Tool.

Then I mounted the top mat onto a standard size bottom mat piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and then both pieces on a White Card Base.

I finished this card by spraying the whole card front with Shimmer Spray.

Quick and Easy Card & any colors or texture stamps can easily be substituted.

For the background top mat on this card I used one of the 2 stamps from the Bokeh Dots Stamp Set.  This card was CASEd from one I saw on Pinterest by Lillybet's Papers.  I used a combination of Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue & Blueberry Bushel Inks on Whisper White Cardstock.

When it was dry I stamped the dandelions and sentiment from Dandelion Wishes in Memento Ink and trimmed the piece to 3-1/4" x 4-1/2".

Then I mounted the top mat onto a standard size bottom mat piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and then both pieces onto a White Card Base.

Like the card above any colors or the other stamp from Bokeh Dots can easily be substituted.

Here's another version of this same color using Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Old Olive Inks.  For this one I used the Seaside Embossing Folder to emboss a pattern onto the Crushed Curry Cardstock bottom mat.

These A2 size cards feature the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 2 - Sponged Backgrounds
This is part 2 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For this first, really simple card, I stamped the dandelions and sentiment on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock for the top mat using Blackberry Bliss Ink.  This sentiment is from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.

Then I used a Sponge Dauber to apply Balmy Blue ink around the stamping.  I did not want the ink to fill the empty space completely so I left "white" areas so it looks like clouds.

The top mat was applied to a standard size bottom mat of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock, and then both pieces to a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

I finished off the card by spraying it with a Shimmer Spray.

For this second card I began by sponging the background using a Sponge Dauber and Balmy Blue Ink at the top and Daffodil Delight Ink at the bottom of a Whisper White Cardstock standard size top mat.

Then I heat embossed the dandelions using an Embossing Buddy, Versamark Ink, Black Embossing and a Heat Tool.

The sentiment was cut using a die from the Celebrate You Thinlits and glued to the top mat using Tombow Glue.

The top mat was applied to a standard size bottom mat of Basic Black Cardstock, and then both pieces to a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

I also finished off this card by spraying it with a Shimmer Spray.

This third card was CASEd from something I saw on Pinterest by Shirley G.  I used Sponge Daubers on a standard top mat of Whisper White Cardstock, using Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Always Artichoke Inks.

The dandelions and sentiments were then stamped with Memento Ink.  The birthday sentiment is from the Humming Along Stamp Set.

The top mat was applied to a standard bottom mat of Always Artichoke Cardstock and then both pieces to a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

Again I sprayed the card front with Shimmer Spray.

For this 4th card I applied Highland Heather, Dapper Denim. and Old Olive Inks with a Sponge Dauber to create a blended background on a standard size top mat piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

Then I made a template from a piece of Window Sheet to use this Bokeh Dot technique.   My template has random sized circles punched out of it.  I applied Whisper White Craft Ink in a random pattern with random sized circles across the front of the card. I have CASEd this process based on one I saw on Pinterest by Lily Pad Stamper.

I stamped the dandelions and the "wishes" sentiment from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set in Memento ink as shown.  I love this effect but in the future I might try to heat emboss using Black Embossing Powder instead, as the black ink sort of absorbed into the Whisper White Ink and looks somewhat faded.

I mounted the top mat onto a standard size piece of Dapper Denim Cardstock and then both pieces onto a White Card Base using Tape Runner.  And as with all of the above cards I sprayed the card front with Shimmer Spray

For this 5th card I sponged a piece of Whisper White CS with Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight inks, and then cut it out with one of the Circle dies from the Stitched Label Framelits.

I cut another circle from the center of a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4 piece of Pear Pizzazz CS using the same die and attached the 2 pieces together using Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back side.

Then I stamped the Dandelions and the sentiment from Butterfly Basics in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I matted the stamped piece onto a bottom mat of Balmy Blue CS and then both pieces to a White Card Base.

This card was Cased from one I saw on Pinterest by Linda Callahan.
