This is Part 3 of a 10 Part Series of Masculine Cards that I have just completed using various stamp sets. I will be posting cards using other stamp sets over the next several days.
Today's post features the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set and the coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Dies from Stampin' Up!.
-The bottom mat on this first card was cut from Night of Navy CS.
-The top mat was cut from Whisper White CS.
-The "ferns" are from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and were stamped on the top mat using Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lie Twist inks (1st and 2nd generation stamping).
-The "dots" are from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set and were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.
-The dragonfly from the featured set was stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White CS using Night of Navy Ink, cut out with the coordinating die, and then I sponged some Misty Moonlight Ink over the top of the piece to fill in the white space.
-The sentiment is from the Here's A Card Stamp Set and stamped using Night of Navy Ink.
-The dragonfly was popped up with Dimensionals.
-The bottom mat on this 2nd card was cut from Granny Apple Green CS.
-The top mat was also cut from Granny Apple Green CS, then embossed using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder that I inked with Old Olive Ink.
-The circular piece in the center was cut from Granny Apple Green CS using one of the Painted Layers Dies. It was popped up with dimensionals.
-The dragonfly was stamped in Old Olive Ink of Whisper White CS, cut out, and then sponged with Granny Apple Green Ink.
-The sentiment is from the Tags in Bloom Stamp Set and was stamped using Old Olive Ink on a scrap piece of Granny Apple Green CS. It was also popped up with dimensionals.
-This 3rd card only uses one mat. It was cut from Misty Moonlight CS.
-Next I stamped the ferns from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and the "dots" from the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set using Night of Navy Ink.
-I have a stencil that I made quite some time ago for the "bokeh style" circles. It is basically a piece of white CS, covered with some self-adhesive plastic laminating sheets, and then various sized circles cut out of it. I used Whisper White Ink and a sponge dauber to color the circle shapes across the top mat.
-The sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, stamped directly onto the mat using Night of Navy Ink.
- The dragonfly was stamped with Berry Burst and Night of Navy Inks, die cut with the coordinating die and popped up with Dimensionals.
-This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest made by Tina Kolivopoulos.
-The bottom mat for this for this last card was cut from Old Olive CS and embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.
-The center strip was cut from Pineapple Punch CS and then the dragonflies were stamped onto the strip using Old Olive Ink.
-The dragonfly was stamped on a scrap piece of Pineapple Punch CS using Old Olive Ink. It was popped up with Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set, it was stamped with Old Olive Ink onto a scrap piece of Pineapple Punch CS and then cut out using one of the Painted Layers Dies. It was also popped up with Dimensionals.
Here's Another color option for this layout. Though not in a masculine color scheme, this card features Melon Mambo and Dapper Denim Inks and Cardstock.
