The magnolia for this card was stamped using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink, colored with So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend Sets and then cut with the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies.

The top mat was cut from Whisper White CS and then lightly sponged with So Saffron Ink using a Sponge Dauber.

Here's another two A2 size cards featuring Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies from Stampin' Up!

I stamped the large Magnolia on Whisper White CS with Memento Black Ink.

This flower was colored with Stampin' Blends as follows:  the petals with the Calypso Coral Set, the leaves with the Old Olive Set, the center of the flower with the Mango Melody Set and the branch with the Crumb Cake Set.

Then I cut out the Magnolia with the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies.

The standard size bottom mat was cut from Old Olive CS.

The standard size top mat was cut from Color Theory DSP.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Banners Stamp Set and was stamped on Whisper White CS with Calypso Coral Ink and framed with Calypso Coral CS.

I attached the top mat to the bottom mat, and then both pieces were attached to a White Card Base, all with Tape Runner.

I popped up the flower and the sentiment with Dimensionals.

Lastly I added the bow made with Calypso Coral Stain Ribbon and added some Calypso Coral Enamel Shapes.

For this 2nd card I used Aqua Painters to color the Magnolia using Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizazz and Soft Suede Inks.

The top mat was cut from Color Theory DSP and mounted on a Crushed Curry CS bottom mat. After I attached the two pieces together I wrapped some Crushed Curry Ribbon around the piece.

The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped in Crushed Curry Ink, cut with one of the Stitched Label Dies, and popped up with Dimensionals.

Then I popped up the Magnolia with Dimensionals as well, added some Rhinestones and attached the completed piece to a White Card Base.

These A2 sized cards feature the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and the coordinating Magnolia Memories Dies from Stampin' Up!

Link to My Stampin' Up! Store

These were my first 3 cards I made with this stamp set using the large Magnolia.  I wanted to start by experimenting with the 3 different ways I saw online to color the magnolia.

For this first card I stamped the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on Whisper White CS using Memento Black Ink.

I used Stampin' Blends to color the flower: for the petals I used the Flirty Flamingo Set, for the center I used the Daffodil Delight Set, for the leaves I used the Old Olive Set, and for the branch I used the Crumb Cake Set. Then I cut out the flower using the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies.

For the top frame I cut a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the Galvanized Metallic DSP and then used one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies to cut out the center piece.  The mat underneath was cut to fit the empty space from a piece of Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Banners Stamp Set, was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White CS using Flirty Flamingo Ink, and cut with a die from the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits.

The 2 mats were attached using Tape Runner, the sentiment and magnolia were popped up with Dimensionals, and then the completed piece was attached to a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

For this second card, I stamped the flower on Whisper White CS using Archival Black Ink (there was some bleeding of the black ink - StazOn Ink would have been a better choice).  To color the flower I used inks which I applied with a Blender PenCrushed Curry Ink for the petals and center, Mossy Meadow Ink for the leaves and branch.

The completed flower was cut out with the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies, and then sprayed with some Shimmer Spray.

I cut a standard top mat (5" x 3-3/4") out of Crushed Curry CS and then ran it thru the Big Shot using the Tufted Embossing Folder.

The standard bottom mat (5-1/4" x 4") was cut from Mossy Meadow CS.

I attached the top mat to the bottom mat using Tape Runner.

Then I cut a couple of pieces of Mossy Meadow CS using the Decorative Ribbon Punch to frame the sentiment, which is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set, and stamped on a strip of Crushed Curry CS using Mossy Meadow Ink.  The pieces were attached to the card front using Tape Runner and then trimmed to 4".

The completed piece was  attached to a White Card Base using Tape Runner.

For this third card, I stamped the flower on Shimmer Paper using StazOn Ink, and then used Watercolor Pencils to color the flower: for the petals I used Coastal Cabana, for the center I used Daffodil Delight, for the leaves I used Garden Green and Granny Apple Green, and for the branch I used Early Espresso.  If you haven't used watercolor pencils before it is a pretty simple process.  First you use the pencils to fill in the area and then I used my water-filled Aqua Painter to distribute the color.  For the darker area I applied additional layers of color using the pencils and then the Aqua Painter.

I cut this frame using two of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies from a piece of  Island Indigo CS which I had embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the same Birthday Banners Stamp Set that I used for the first card - but this time I used Pool Party CS and Island Indigo Ink and then it was cut out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

The frame was attached directly to a White Card Base and then the sentiment and Magnolia were popped up with Dimensionals.

BEST CATCH SERIES - Part 5 - Sponged and Stamped Backgrounds

These A2 size cards feature the Best Catch Stamp Set and coordinating Catch of the Day Dies from Stampin' Up!.

Link to My Stampin' Up! Store

For this first card I started by repeatedly stamping the "Water" stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set on the bottom portion of a standard top mat of Whisper White CS using Balmy Blue Ink, 1st and 2nd Generation stamping, meaning that I stamped directly onto the mat once and then stamped a 2nd time in another area without reinking first.

Then I made a mask by cutting a circle out of a piece of Post-it Removable Labeling Tape, using the 1-3/4" Punch from Stampin' Up!  to use for the sun.  I applied the circle mask at the center top of the mat and them proceeded by sponging a light layer of Balmy Blue Ink across the whole card front using a Sponge Dauber.  Try to do some shading on the bottom half.

Then I took another piece(s) of removable Post-it Tape to cover the bottom water portion so I could color in more of the sky using Pacific Point and So Saffron Inks until I was happy with the results.

I removed both the circle mask and the tape from the bottom of the card and used So Saffron Ink to color in the Sun with a Sponge Dauber.

The sentiment is from the Best Catch Stamp Set and stamped in Memento Black Ink.

The fish, fisherman, and grasses were cut from Whisper White CS using the Catch of the Day Dies and colored with Olive Green, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Stampin' Blend Sets.

The fish was popped up with Dimensionals, the other 2 pieces were attached to the top mat with Tape Runner as shown.

I attached the top mat to a standard size bottom mat cut from Lemon Lime Twist CS, then the completed piece was attached to a White Card Base, using Tape Runner.

I started this 2nd card by stamping the Trees using the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set in Old Olive Ink on a standard size top mat cut from Whisper White CS.

Then I applied Sahara Sand Ink with a Sponge Dauber to color the "ground".  And stamped the grasses from the High Tide Stamp Set using Old Olive Ink.

The "water" from the High Tide Stamp Set was stamped and colored with a Sponge Dauber, as in the card above, using Pool Party Ink.

For the "sky" I applied Balmy Blue Ink with a Sponge Dauber.

Then I stamped the "seagulls" in Soft Suede Ink using a stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set.

I cut the fisherman from Whisper White CS using the Catch of the Day Dies, colored it with Old Olive and Pool Party Stampin' Blends Sets, and popped it up on the card using Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Banners Stamp Set and stamped with Old Olive Ink on a die cut piece leftover from a Paper Pumpkin Kit, and then popped up with Dimensionals.

I attached the top mat to a standard size bottom mat cut from Old Olive CS, then the completed piece was attached to a White Card Base, using Tape Runner.

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Kathy Crow.

For this 3rd card, I began by coloring the top two-thirds of standard size top mat cut from Whisper White CS, using So Saffron Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Then I stamped the water stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set in the next lower section in Balmy Blue Ink, and then lightly daubed some Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight Ink on the water section as shown.

Then I used the circle mask from the first card detailed above to cover a section of the morning sky for the "sun", and proceeded to shade the sky with Daffodil Delight Ink, with a little bit of Balmy Blue Ink just around the outside edge of the sun.

The "sand" stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set was stamped in the bottom section using Sahara Sand Ink, the "grasses from the same set were stamped with Old Olive Ink, and the Seagulls from the same set were stamped in Soft Suede Ink.  Then the area was lightly colored with a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Ink  The fisherman and the basket from the Best Catch Stamp Set were both stamped in Soft Suede Ink and then the basket was colored with Soft Suede and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.

I attached the top mat to a standard size bottom mat of Soft Suede CS, then the completed piece was attached to a White Card Base, using Tape Runner.

This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest by Tina's Crafty Ink Spot.

BEST CATCH SERIES - Part 3 - Cut Outs

These A2 size cards feature the Best Catch Stamp Set and coordinating Catch of the Day Dies by Stampin' Up!

Link to My Stampin' Up! Store

For this first card I began by stamping the Marbled Stamp in Marina Mist Ink to the front panel of a White Card Base.

Then I used the largest die from the Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies to cut the center out of a standard bottom mat (5-1/4  x 4") of Pear Pizzazz CS and I used the same die to cut the center out of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of  White Foam.  I glued the 2 pieces together to pop-up the panel.  You could use Dimensionals, if you prefer, but in this case I felt the Pear Pizzazz piece would be much better supported by the piece of foam.

I arranged my cut pieces from the Catch of the Day Dies, that I had colored using Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede Stampin' Blend Sets.

Once I had everything arranged, I glued the top panel to the card front using Tombow Glue.

The sentiment is from the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit - May Good Things Grow, and was stamped in Old Olive ink on Whisper White CS, and then die cut with a die from the Stitched Labels Framelits set.

I finished the piece by adding a few drops of Glossy Accents to the piece.

SHAKER CARD:  For this 2nd card I cut 2 mats 5-1/4" x 4" - one each from Coastal Cabana and  Pool Party Cardstock.

I used the 2nd largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels Set to cut the opening in the piece of Coastal Cabana CS and two pieces of  5-1/4" x 4" White Foam.  Then I glued these 3 pieces together inserting a piece of clear Window Plastic under the Coastal Cabana piece.

I stamped the Pool Party CS with the fish and hook from the  Best Catch Stamp set using Memento Black Ink, Coral from the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin A Little Smile Stamp Set, and "Bubbles" from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana Ink.  The fish was colored with Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend Sets.

I sprinkled a mixture of Sequins into the center of the Pool Party piece and then the top 3 pieces (2 foam and Coastal Cabana pieces) were glued to the Pool Party Piece. This finished piece was wrapped with Twine and then glued to a White Card Base.

BEST CATCH SERIES - Part 2 - Layered Cards

These A2 sized cards features the Best Catch Stamp Set and coordinating Catch of the Day Dies from Stampin' Up!

Link to My Stampin' Up! Store

For this first card I began by cutting the various layers of card stock.

The standard bottom mat (5-1/4" x 4") was cut from Mossy Meadow CS.

Then I took a piece of Crumb Cake CS and stamped it with Old Olive Ink using the Crackle Paint Stamp and cut 2 strips (2-5/8" x 5-1/4").  I attached them to the bottom mat with Tape Runner, leaving about 1/4" between and to the side of the pieces.

Next I cut a piece of Always Artichoke CS (4" x 3-1/2") and ran it through the Corrugated Embossing Folder.  Then I trimmed it down to 3-1/4" and attached it with Tombow Glue centering it on the mats.

The top mat was cut from Crumb Cake CS with one of the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.

This fish was colored with Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Sets and popped up as shown with Dimensionals.

The "grass" was cut from Whisper White CS and colored with Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blend Sets and was attached to the top mat with Tape Runner.

Lastly I added the Gold Sequins and attached the finished piece to a White Card Base with Tape Runner.

A sentiment will be added later.

Same process for this second card.

The bottom mat and corrugated piece both are cut from Soft Suede CS.

The strips and top mat are Daffodil Delight CS, were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink, and cut into strips.

The fish was colored with Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend Sets.

The "grass" was cut from Crumb Cake CS and colored with Old Olive, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Sets.

Again I added Gold Sequins and attached the finished piece to a White Card Base with Tape Runner.
