These A2 size cards feature the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Series 4 - Block Inked Backgrounds - Part 2
This is part 4 of a series of cards created with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  What I love best about this set is the simplicity of the dandelion stamps and how well they work on patterned DSP and custom backgrounds.  I also love the "Wishing" sentiments in the set and have found lots of other sentiments that also coordinate well with this set, as you will see as we go thru this series.

For the background on these 2 cards, I applied Berry Burst, Grapefruit Grove and Dapper Denim Inks  directly onto a D Size Clear Block.  I used small cubes of ink that I had from past Paper Pumpkin Kits, but you can also use full size ink pads.

I used a Spritzer to spray water onto the Clear Block, until I thought the inks had run together enough to create a nice pattern.  Then I set a piece of Watercolor Paper onto a plastic mat and then set the inked block onto the paper.  Let it sit for a few seconds so the color will absorb into the paper, and then remove the block.  You can also spritz some additional water onto the watercolor paper if you want to blend the colors a little more. As you can see from these 2 samples each background is unique.  Let the paper dry thoroughly.

The dandelions of both all of these 3 cards were stamped with Memento Ink.

The sentiment on this first card is from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped in Berry Burst Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with a die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits.

For the bottom mat I used one standard size piece of Dapper Denim Cardstock.  Then I took a strip of 1-3/4" x 5" Berry Burst Cardstock and glued it on top as shown.  I ran the glued piece thru the Big Shot using the Swirls  & Curls Embossing Folder.  I really like this layered bottom mat.

I trimmed the dandelion piece as desired, mounted it onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, leaving a very thin border. Then glued it toward the top center of the bottom mat.  The sentiment was glued toward the bottom center of the mat.

This 2nd inked piece was  was die cut with one of the Stitched Shape Framelits.

The sentiment is from Healing Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Grapefruit Grove ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  It was cut using a die from the Merry Christmas Thinlits.

For the bottom mat I took a standard size piece of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock and glued a 1-1/2" wide banner cut from Berry Burst Cardstock onto it, and then a 1-1/2" wide strip of Dapper Denim Cardstock on top.  This glued piece was embossed with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder.

The mat and sentiment were both popped up with Dimensionals as shown.

For the background on this 3rd card, I applied Berry Burst and Pool Party Ink  directly onto a D Size Clear Block. And followed the same process as above.

The dandelions were stamped with Memento Ink.

I trimmed this  piece to desired size, leaving a white edge this time, and mounted it onto a slightly larger piece of Berry Burst Cardstock.

This sentiment is from the Humming Along Stamp Set and was stamped in Berry Burst Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  It was cut with a die from the Rose Garden Thinlits.

I used a standard size piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock for bottom mat, and embossed it with the Seaside Embossing Folder.

I glued a piece of Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon toward the bottom of the mat.  Then popped up the block piece and the sentiment using Dimensionals.

The Block inked pieces on these 3 cards were sprayed with Shimmer Spray before being attached to the bottom mats.
