This is Part 8 of a 10 Part Series of Masculine Cards that I have just completed using various stamp sets. I will be posting cards using other stamp sets over the next several days.
Today's post features the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!. One of my all time favorite stamp sets - now retired.
-The standard size bottom mat for this first card was cut from Early Espresso CS.
-The standard size top mat was cut from Whisper White CS, then I took 4 strips of some extra Washi Tape I wasn't using and placed one across the top edge, one across the bottom edge, and the other 2 evenly spaced across the middle area.
-Next I colored the areas in between the Washi Tape with Blending Brushes and Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Moss Meadow Inks (top to bottom), removed the tape and colored the white area with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.
-Then I stamped the tress using Early Espresso Ink with 1st and 2nd generation stamping.
-The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
-The standard size bottom mat for this second card was cut from Blackberry Bliss CS.
-The standard size top mat was cut from Sahara Sand CS.
-Next I placed a mask over the top mat. (Cut your desired size oval out of a scrap piece of CS using the Layering Oval Dies. I attached the piece to the top mat using removable glue dots. When I'm finished, I remove the mask and set it aside to be used on future cards.)
-I colored the inside of the oval using blending brushes with Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Pineapple Punch, and Early Espresso Inks.
-Then I stamped the "strip" of trees stamp from the featured set using Early Espresso ink, before removing the mask.
-Then remove the mask and stamp the large pine tree from the featured set using Early Espresso Ink..
-The sentiment is from the Posted For You stamp set and was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink.
-This card was CASEd from one I saw on Pinterest by Kimber Kreations.
